Mother's Day Gift Ideas 2014 {Johnson City, TN Family Photographer}

"All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother."

- Abraham Lincoln.

Since becoming a mother myself (almost TEN years ago!), the way in which I view my own mom has changed drastically.  The appreciation I thought I had, the love and admiration I thought I had was really nothing compared to how I feel now.  It's multiplied by at least a thousand.  Being a mother is THE most important, difficult, rewarding, selfless, amazing, crazy job in the world.  Want proof?  Watch the video below.

Warning: this might make you cry.  But just watch it, okay?

May 11th is Mother's Day.  Stop what you're doing and take a moment to reflect on your mother.  No mom is perfect, of course, but think of the good.  Think of the kisses.  The hugs.  The smiles.  The tears.  What could you possibly give her to show the deep appreciation and love you have for her?  Probably something as simple as a heartfelt list of all the reasons why you're grateful for her.  And of course a big hug would be awesome too.

But just in case you're at a loss for what to get her, I've put together some of my favorite gift ideas.  Whatever you decide to get Mom this year, just make sure it's from the heart. =)

From BDP: Mom will absolutely LOVE a personalized photo necklace.  Choose your favorite session image and a quote or saying for the back side.  You can also include a birthstone and  cross, if desired.  Another BDP favorite is the accordion wallet book.  Black leather front and back covers open up to present 10 of her favorite images.  Fits perfectly inside a purse or can be displayed on a desk or table as well and is perfect for showing off those special people in her life.

Customized with a gorgeous cover and Mom's 10 favorite mounted 5x7's, the photobox makes the ultimate gift.  It comes complete with a black easel so that she can display her favorite of the day.    To order Mother's Day gift, contact me ASAP so that we can get them ordered and to you in time!

These adorable prints from Words Work Prints on Etsy are well, adorable.  Also, you should probably know that I kinda have a thing for birds in trees...

Speaking of Etsy... here's a whole list of great homemade gift ideas for Mom.  I couldn't pick just one, so I thought I'd include them all!  Just click on the image to head over for a looksie.

And last, but certainly not least - Pinterest.  Oh Pinterest how I love you.  And how I hate you...  I love you for the great recipes and ideas, and because you're so stinkin' beautiful.  I hate you because you rub how awesome you are in my face.  It will forever be a battle.  Nevertheless, here's a great board for Mother's Day gift ideas.  {click on the image}

And while we're on the subject of my dysfunctional love/hate relationship with Pinterest, you might as well follow me {HERE}.  You'll find lots of delicious recipes, posing ideas, fashion and party planning tips and so much more.  Just a little glimpse into what I love.

The natural state of motherhood is unselfishness. When you become a mother, you are no longer the center of your own universe. You relinquish that position to your children.

Now get giving!

Happy Mother's Day!
